She did what?!

Today while doing my drive about duties I was shocked into a nervous giggle.

There I was driving along having just dropped my husband to work and heading off to take the children to school. I stopped at a traffic light and then something across the road caught my eyes. There in broad day light was this little bent old woman properly attired in a brightly coloured yellow dress adorned with red and pink flowers who appeared to be a squatting position. You would probably be thinking SO! the woman was squatting, maybe she was tired and needed to rest! But get this, her dress was way up her thigh and SHE APPEARED TO BE TAKING A PEE!!! on the sidewalk!  I sat in shock, I think she caught her self because she stood up as best as she could and brushed her dress down and continued her walk albeit a bit wobbly up the road.

At that point the giggle escaped and turned into laughter! I would like to think she had a momentary lapse of self and thought she was in a toilet. Hey maybe she just needed to go and thought the traffic light was enough to give her privacy. Who knows!

  1. Well, when you gotta go!!  I do know that the elderly don\’t have the greatest bladder control.  We used to have this lady (upper middle aged) that came into the casino that I worked in.  She was always nicely dressed and made up, but she would sit down at a slot machine, drink beers and she would not leave the machine for any reason.  We used  to tell her that we would not let anyone touch the machine, but she just wouldn\’t leave it!  So she would end up peeing on the chair.  Finally we had to "86" her.  I think there may have been a little mental illness there, but we just couldn\’t keep having her ruining chairs.
The Festival of Lights sounds really cool.  I had never heard of it.  It\’s kind of neat that it is on the darkest night of the year.  It kinda makes sense!
    Take care
    Siobhan

  2. WOW! LOL!

Well, Madison and I are doing great! Sorry I don\’t come around as often anymore. I don\’t want to sound like an old stick in the mud but we don\’t celebrate Halloween, so I won\’t be dressing her up.

  3. Oooopppps!!   Well girl, it probably was too hot for her to wait \’til she got to her destination.  At least she didn\’t do it on herself to be smelling horrible in a few.  LOL

    Have a great day!

  4. I would have died laughing!!  Oh wow!  I\’m sure that was a sight to see!  Glad it didn\’t cause you to wreck your car!

    God bless 🙂

  5. Wow!  Didn\’t realize I had missed two of your blogs.  Thanks for that Festival of Lights, it is so interesting to learn about other cultures!

I\’m just shaking my head about the poor old lady, she may be senile, or confused.  My oldest kitty seems to be getting senile or just can\’t control himself, and is going in the oddest places, I am taking him to the doctor soon, and will see what the Vet says.  Have a good evening, friend.

  6. HAVEN\’T BEEN BY IN AWHILE AND CAME TO SEE WHAT I
    HAVE BEEN MISSING.
I CAN IMAGINE YOUR SHOCK AT THE SIGHT OF
THAT POOR LITTLE OLD WOMAN. YOUR HEART HAS TO
GO OUT TO PEOPLE LIKE HER. THE REASON FOR HER
ACTIONS ARE NOT EVIDENT AND SHE MAY BE SENILE
OR HAVE ALZHIEMERS. MY SISTERS FATHER-IN-LAW
WHO LIVES WITH HER IS ALZHIEMERIC AND HIS ACTIONS ARE VERY ERRATIC AND BAZARRE AT TIMES.
GOD BLESS YOU MY SISTER, ~MARILYN~

  7. I was living in a rich area a couple years ago (i got really lucky), where everybody is beautiful, thin and has loads of cash. I always felt like the black sheep in that neighborhood. One day, as i was waiting at my bus stop, i saw an older woman squating.. except she wasn\’t peeing.. she was… doing number 2. It was so gross. I mean, it was in plain site where everybody could see… if you can\’t hold it in until u find a toilet, at least hide behind a bush or something!!!

  8. Hi W,

Thank you for your expression of sympathy.

Your space is so interesting and you have a way with words.  I\’ll be back.

  9. Oh my! Another good reason to always step over puddles on the sidewalk LOL
    Have a great weekend 🙂

  10. Hey G, sorry I forgot to mention that I was going to Orlando for a few days.  I just got back this evening and I am so sad to hear about MT.  We were going to hook up next weekend to take some pics of the Fall foliage.  I was going to drive up to Arkansas to hang out with her (sigh). Wow, this is tough.  Anyway, hope your weekend is going well.  Talk soon.

  11. ah, God Bless her, Happy Halloween, and hugs, Kat

  12. Hey, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go! .. lol. Thank goodness for dresses .. lol.

  13. Stopping by to wish you a blessed week!  Your poinsettia pictures would make beautiful Christmas cards!

  14. Hey G, Orlando was very lovely.  It was great seeing my friends after 7 years.  We plan to hook up again in Orlando in March.  I didn\’t do the Disney thing or any of the amusement parks because the kids had done it before I arrived.  It was just fun to be together.

  15. THAT is the perfect reason to have a blog–where else could you share a moment like that?

  16. Maybe being older made her think she could get by with that?  🙂
