Yesterday was also a day of great anguish, meltdowns, and tears it was all too new!
Yesterday my babies moved on up from pre-school to prep school so as we WestIndians say they are now in ‘big school’ uniforms and all! SIGH!! I swear I added at least ten new strands of grey.
Today however though met with lots of nos and refusals to dress, smile or eat really turned into a day of smiles and thoughts of maybe I wouldn’t have to homeschool them both LOL. Thank God my son didn’t greet me at the door wailing in anguish or dropping with distress to the floor, but he met me with a sweet smile and a ‘Hi’ Mummy after giving his teacher a hug goodbye. And my daughter sweet drama queen that she is even though she started the day with tears happily bounded to me saying ‘Mum I had fun!’ Yeah what a difference a day makes!
In remembrance of the tragedy that happened six years ago I say a prayer for peace and understanding that we may find a world free of terrorism and terrorist acts. A prayer of strength for those who lost loved ones and for those of us who held our loved ones closer because of it. May we always remember and make an effort to effect change.
Hugs to you all!
