Breakfast in bed!!

For the first time in my seven (7) years of mother hood I got breakfast in bed! My two munchkins followed by a grinning dad woke me up with a cheese omelet and toast breakfast and a glass of orange juice! Once the Happy Mother’s Days wishes were bestowed and kisses were given. My daughter says Mummy can I have a piece of your toast and my son very sleekly disappeared with my juice. SIGH they are just so cute!!
And why you may ask did it take the hubby so long to do the breakfast in bed thing, well I think it has a lot to do with a little girl child who watches way too much TV and loves her Mummy 🙂

Really good way to start the week

Have a great week!

  1. well at least the attempt was there…besides i am sure that they were hungry after all their hard work…lol…

  2. Awwww! That was just too sweet, better late than never.  But it seems as though the breakfast ended up being for those kids instead..lol!  Oh well, that\’s just another part of the joys of motherhood.

  3. Breakfast in bed huh? Dangerous. Not in the dangerous sense that hubby would have to serve it daily to you because you became accustomed to it, ? Dangerous in the sense the crumbs from your toast always find ya when you settle down to sleep later that night.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  6. So interesting how different the situation goes when it is the mommy in charge of breakfast when a tray is brought to daddy for Father\’s Day.  Mom feeds the children first…so they aren\’t hungry and tempted to ask for daddy\’s food…and the children are reminded about how much daddy does and how we need to appreciate that and not always expect things for ourselves…and isn\’t it fun to give to others…especially those we love the most…like daddy?  Whatever happed to teachable moments?

Anway…it was still sweet that your husband and "munchkins" brought you breakfast in bed…which is a big improvement  over it never happening for up to the 7 years of being a mother.  😉
