We have been very busy over here
It is birthday season!
As you may or may not know birthday’s in this household means parties
(yes I clearly like stress LOL)
No seriously I get a kick out of seeing the smiles that a successful party elicits.
The key to a good child’s party (to me):
Food: not alot of it and definitely limit choices. As tempting as it is to give a huge display of cakes, candies and cheese curls. It will be wasted and you would have half eaten items all over. Always a hit cake and ice cream of course, beef patties, hot dogs and naturally pizza.
Decoration: Balloons are a must! Especially for young girls, boys like them too but not as much. Everything else is for you and the parents. The children would notice but for only a second.
Entertainment: Pool party is great but if you don’t have a pool a bounce about is the best entertainer that you can get trust me! Though if you feeling generous a water slide is the way to ensure happy children even if it is raining 🙂
The son having a wet but very Happy birthday
Big daughter’s celebration
Some face painting
and of course Barbie 🙂 thanks to Sugar and Spice.
The daughter’s birthday was a little more interactive so didn’t get as many pictures as I would have liked such as the bouncing, the playing, the face painting and the pretty cool glitter globe!
Another year celebrated and my babies move further away from babyness sigh! At least they had a blast!
How do you make your children’s birthday special?
